7. Mingyong glacier | YesAdam

It is quite normal to see some pieces of glacier at Meili, the most famous one is Mingyong glacier. It is down from Kawadgarbo and spread as a arc shape, to the forest area. It’s 11.7km long! The average width is around 500m. It’s the one with lowest alt. that people can see in China.

At first glance, I thought it was snow, covered with dust. It looks black and dirty on the top. But they are all ice with thousands of years. It can be easily told if you look at the blue spots on the photos. On the way we went up, the fog suddenly came up from our back, chasing us. We couldn’t see anything. About 10 minuets later, it started to disperse. Actually it is a large piece of could going to the higher altitude. OMG, I had been walking in the cloud!
