Yes, it’s a famous place in Yunnan, in China. b/f i arrived there, i thought i was a place to generate love. but, the truth is it is too crowded to meet Mr/Mrs right. It was not a peak season when I got there, but there were still groups and groups touring teams came to the old town. despite, it is still a nice town. but i think the most beautiful time is in the early morning and late night when the touring teams are not there. 
Walking through the bars and Dongba character arcade, keep going you can find a way up to a higher place to see the whole scenery of the old Lijiang town. Then you can also arrive at the place where the “one meter of sunshine” was shot. But, more is that you can see Yulong Mountain straight away. Here’s my tip: it’s a good idea to see it at this place rather than to go to the mountain and climb it. Because it has been so developed for touring, you can’t see any spectacular views there. So, yes, it’s good to watch it far away, at a quiet place. Trust me, it will not be a shame not to go to Yulong Mountain, cause next step is Meili Mountain.
